Jean-Benoit Leblanc

Jean-Benoit Leblanc is Senior Portfolio Manager at Desjardins Global Asset Management (DGAM). He co-founded the Hexavest Emerging Markets strategy and co-manages the Emerging Markets Equity portfolios. His investment responsibilities are focused on the implementation of macro decisions and the portfolio construction process. He joined DGAM in 2021 as part of the Hexavest acquisition. Prior to joining Hexavest, Jean-Benoit was Portfolio Manager and Sector Analyst at Natcan/Selexia (2001-2008), Research Associate, Communications and Media, at Newcrest Capital (2000), and Financial Analyst, Telecoms and Information Technology, at Innovatech du Grand Montréal (1999-2000). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting) (1998) and a master’s degree in Finance (1999) from the Université de Sherbrooke, in addition to being a CFA charterholder (2002).
